As the Store Director, you are a brand ambassador and business leader, responsible for driving the store’s overall performance while ensuring an exceptional and consistent Gucci client experience. You lead, inspire, and develop your team to achieve and exceed business objectives, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and client-centricity.
You play a key role in translating the brand strategy into meaningful in-store execution, ensuring operational excellence, strong team engagement, and long-term client loyalty.
Reporting to the Retail Area Manager Italy, the Store Director is responsible to provide customers with top quality service by meeting their needs and expectations as well as to increase the brand loyalty by communicating as “Gucci ambassador" the philosophy and the culture of the Brand.
Job Description
Key Accountabilities :
Drive store business performance by setting clear objectives, monitoring KPIs, and implementing action plans to achieve and exceed sales targets
Lead and inspire the team, ensuring engagement, motivation, and development through coaching, feedback, and performance management
Act as a role model on the sales floor, promoting Gucci selling ceremony and delivering best-in-class client experience
Build a client-centric culture, strengthening long-term relationships and developing high-potential clients through CRM use and proactive clienteling
Ensure operational excellence, overseeing all store operations (stock management, VM, compliance, procedures) in line with corporate guidelines
Collaborate with HQ and cross-functional stakeholders to implement commercial strategies and initiatives at store level
Analyze store performance and market trends, identifying opportunities for growth and continuous improvement
Ensure visual merchandising excellence, in line with Gucci standards and global guidelines
Drive talent development, identifying high-potential individuals, supporting career growth, and ensuring succession planning
Guarantee compliance with company policies, procedures, and grooming standards
Functional Requirements:
Proven experience in a Store Director or equivalent leadership role, both in permanent and Seasonal stores including Resorts experiences, within luxury or premium retail
Strong track record in driving sales performance and business growth
Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and develop teams
Deep understanding of retail KPIs, operations, and clienteling strategies
Strong commercial acumen and analytical mindset
Passion for fashion, luxury, and Gucci brand values
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic, and international environment
High level of flexibility and adaptability
Key challenges:
Provide strategic and operational leadership across the Naples and Capri boutiques, overseeing the Capri location during the summer season from April to October approx.
Managing a highly seasonal business in a luxury destination
Managing a complex business environment balancing commercial performance, client experience, and operational excellence
Leading and engaging a diverse and multicultural team, ensuring alignment with brand values and standards
Navigating high expectations from both global strategy and local market needs
Adapting quickly to changing business priorities and market dynamics
Driving consistent execution across all retail pillars (sales, CRM, VM, operations, people)
Salary package:
Gross Annual Salary : up to 85.000,00€ (unless otherwise agreed, in the event of a positive outcome of the selection process, should specific levels of experience and autonomy and/or particular competencies emerge during the selection process, based on objective criteria).
NCBA (National Collective Bargaining Agreement) : CCNL del Terziario, della Distribuzione e dei Servizi (unique alphanumeric code: H011)
