Keystone Civil is a boutique civil construction firm specialising in road projects, renewables, and pipeline works. Founded in 2013, we have built a reputation for delivering high-quality projects while staying true to our core values of CAN DO, CONNECTED, and COMMITTED. With approximately 70 employees, we’re not focused on being the biggest but the best at what we do. With continued growth and exciting projects across Victoria, we seek a Senior Accountant to join the team at our Geelong Head Office.
The Role
As our new Senior Accountant, you’ll play a critical role in managing our financial operations, supporting strategic decisions, and ensuring compliance and accuracy across the board. Reporting to the Managing Director, you’ll work closely with our leadership team and contribute to the financial strength and growth of the business.
What You’ll Be Doing
Managing end-of-month processes including journals, accruals, prepayments, and balance sheet reconciliations
Driving insightful business reporting through dashboards, KPIs, and management reports
Overseeing debtor and creditor control, and supporting proactive cashflow management
Preparing monthly reports and financial summaries
Ensuring accurate and consistent cost allocation across projects and business units
Contributing to budget development, forecasts, and variance analysis
Ensuring compliance with statutory obligations (BAS, FBT, lease management, etc.)
Supporting asset management, including plant and equipment register
About You
Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Business, or a related field
CPA or CA qualified
Strong background in management accounting or business partnering roles
Skilled at working with operational teams and presenting financial insights in plain English
Proven experience with cost tracking, allocation, and financial support across projects
Previous experience in construction, manufacturing, logistics, or a similar project-based industry
Confident with Excel and modern finance systems - tech-savvy with strong attention to detail
Highly organised with the ability to manage competing priorities
