The role
We are seeking an Australian registered Architect or Project Leader for a permanent role in our Perth studio. Ideally suited to an all-rounder, with Design, Delivery and technical ability. You should be able to present your schemes with sketches and be confident with multiple software and presentation techniques.
The Senior Architect or Project Leader will utilise their design / technical skills to achieve project design and/or project delivery in accordance with the Company’s quality systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Responsibility for the project design phases of small to medium sized projects or a section of a large project;
Design and develop concepts using freehand sketch, presentation packages and documentation tools;
Responsibility for production of accurate contract documentation
Collaborate with clients to determine their requirements and discuss the feasibility of their project goals.
Perform site visits and evaluations to assess the construction site and ensure compliance with building regulations and codes.
Prepare and present project proposals, plans, and estimates to clients, contractors, and other stakeholders.
Oversee the construction process by monitoring progress, ensuring quality control, and adjusting plans as necessary.
Manage project budgets and timelines to ensure timely completion and cost-effective delivery.
Conduct research on new materials, technologies, and construction methods, and apply this knowledge to design projects.
Collaborate with other professionals in the construction industry such as engineers, construction managers, and contractors to ensure smooth project execution.
Keep up-to-date with industry trends, regulations, and standards to ensure compliance and innovation in project designs.
Provide guidance to junior architects and interns, and participate in their training and development.
Work in accordance with the business’ visions and values
Qualifications & Experience:
Australian Registered Architect in jurisdiction of practice.
8+ years experience, more recently with large or complex projects.
Proven experience in the construction industry, with a portfolio of successful projects.
Proficiency in design software such as Revit and SketchUp
Strong preference for experienced user in Grasshopper, Rhino, Photoshop and InDesign
Strong communication, collaboration, and project management skills.
Knowledge of building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Flexibility to adapt to changing project requirements and timelines.
