Description
Reporting to the Senior Manager, this role plays a critical role in developing and managing service offerings within our core transportation portfolio as well as specialized products within Purolator's Key Verticals; Retail/eCommerce, Industrial, Technology and Healthcare.
A Senior Product Manager operates with a high degree of ownership, leading complex product initiatives and contributing to product strategy development. This role focuses on designing and improving service offerings, optimizing the customer experience, and driving revenue and volume growth.
Responsibilities
Strategy: Lead the development & execution of product or portfolio strategy aligned with organization goals, market trends, and customer requirements. Identify service gaps, market opportunities, and areas for innovation
Insights: Stay updated on industry trends and competitors’ offerings to identify areas for differentiation and improvement. Understand and communicate market and customer trends that impact the product portfolio and generate business insights aligned with corporate strategy
Product Development: Lead collaboration with cross-functional teams including Operations, Customer Care, Marketing, and Sales to identify opportunities, define requirements, create business cases, and prioritize projects
Stakeholder Management: Build relationships with cross-functional partners to align on strategy, priorities, and business objectives, including engagement with senior stakeholders
Metrics & Analytics: Own product performance monitoring from a volume and revenue standpoint, define project KPIs, and measure performance to identify improvement opportunities
Job Duties
Lead the development of a product strategy and roadmap with short-, mid-, and long-term views aligned with Purolator’s business goals and industry challenges
Serve as subject matter expert and owner of assigned product portfolio(s)
Leverage data assets to identify insights and monitor portfolio performance
Lead complex cross-functional initiatives to drive revenue growth, customer experience, and volume
Develop business cases and bring new features and enhancements to market
Translate strategy into execution through business requirements and success metrics
Collaborate with Marketing and Communications on go-to-market strategies
Conduct post-launch assessments and implement continuous improvements
Make informed decisions in ambiguous and complex situations
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, economics, or related field
5+ years of experience in product management or similar role
Experience leading complex cross-functional initiatives
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Ability to influence without direct authority
Experience mentoring junior resources or co-op students is an asset
Strong prioritization and time management skills
Transportation and/or supply chain industry experience is an asset
Language Requirement: Proficiency in English is required for this position due to the frequent communications that must be conducted in English with various stakeholders. This requirement is justified by the nature of the responsibilities and operational needs.
