Royal Caribbean Group’s Shipboard recruiting team has an exciting career opportunity for a full time Sr Recruiter Culinary reporting to the Dir Shipboard Recruitment

Based in Mexico

Position Summary:

The Senior Recruiter focuses on effectively executing the interviewing/hiring process for shipboard positions to include but not limited to supervisory and management roles and hard to fill positions The Senior Recruiter is responsible for reviewing evaluating and analyzing recruitment effectiveness pipeline and sourcing campaigns and providing consultation to leadership regarding the labor market relative to their respective business unit In collaboration with operational colleagues the Sr Recruiter effectively uses resources to attract identify screen and hire the best talent globally in the most efficient manner

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Drive the hiring process for assigned roles working closely with hiring manager HRBP and internal teams to determine competencies needed for each role manage the hiring process

escalating any roadblocks along the way

Responsible for sourcing screening and interviewing for all positions within the assigned business units outlined which may include special projects

high volume and emerging talent

Works with hiring managers to review and understand the forecasted needs for talent acquisition

as well as responding to just-in-time requests

Manages various stakeholders in discussing job requirements and applicant qualifications with management; based on a consistent set of qualifications as agreed at the start of the hiring process

Manages sourcing tactics and methods to proactively develop talent pools that align with the needs of the business

Actively sources passive candidates using sourcing tools Boolean searches networking referrals and cold calling techniques

Responsible for compiling a potential candidate long-list conducting competency-based telephone/video interviewing techniques and providing short-list of best fit candidates to hiring leaders

Previews evaluates

and selects appropriate talent directly and through various sources to meet the requirements of the departments and/or vessels' needs

Manages various stakeholders in discussing job requirements and applicant qualifications with managers; based on a consistent set of qualifications as agreed at the start of the hiring process

Selects appropriate applicants to meet specific functional hiring and scheduling requirements

Improves organization attractiveness by continuously reviewing and evaluating market trends and providing feedback to leadership on competitive total reward benefits and industry standards

Executes sourcing strategies and methods to develop proactively talent pools that align with both the short and long-term needs of the business

Recommend ideas and strategies related to recruitment that will contribute to the long-range growth of the department implementing any new processes and fine tuning standard processes for recruiting that fits within our mission to deliver the highest quality results

Ability to meet hiring targets and metrics reviews various productivity reports to measure the effectiveness of recruiting processes and strategies

Stays current with current market trends and adjust recruiting approach accordingly

Determines applicant quality and suitability by studying job description and job qualifications

Reviews evaluates and selects appropriate talent directly and through various sources to meet the requirements of the departments and/or vessels' needs

Selects appropriate applicants to meet specific functional hiring and scheduling requirements

Interviews candidates to determine the individual's adaptability to the shipboard environment

Conducts regular review of interview questionnaires and revises it as appropriate to suit market/s handled

Responsible for evaluating candidates using competency-based interviewing techniques and providing recommendations of best fit candidates to hiring managers and recruiters May also make hiring decisions for some entry level roles

Supports hiring managers with interview coordination as needed

Ensures job description is shared to each candidate

Communicates job offers to approved candidates in accordance with company policy

Ensure a great candidate experience by following up with candidates in a timely fashion and providing transparency throughout the process

Collaborate with global and regional teams as required

Travels to various international or domestic locations as needed to support recruitment events

Utilizes various reports and dashboards to monitor productivity effectiveness and overall candidate management for shipboard recruiting

Ability to articulate plans and prepare various reports as required including but not limited to status reports talent search reviews

and list of talent/gap pools for shipboard operations

Hosts presentations and training for hiring leaders as needed

Provides new recruiter and refresher training to recruitment team as needed

Manages own workflow and complies with recruitment SOPs maintaining documentation as per company policies and processes

Avoids legal challenges in various markets handled by understanding current legislation; enforcing regulations with managers; recommending new procedures

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in human resources and/ or business administration from an accredited college or university or the international equivalent preferred

Minimum 5 years relevant recruitment experience within hospitality and/or travel industry Prefer candidates with global talent acquisition experience

Experience in high volume/ bulk recruiting a plus

Knowledge of SQM policy and MLC legislation highly recommended

Knowledge of general shipboard functions on a cruise ship and the general concept of the shipboard organization preferred

Demonstrated capability to recruit positions in various levels of the organization (entry to management level) required

Proven ability to conduct competency-based interviewing Strong interviewing skills; ability to understand and further the organizations business objectives and employee performance objectives

Ability to define problems collect data establish facts and draw valid conclusions Ability to solve complex problems with a variety of variables Ability to analyze large datasets and report relevant finding

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; experience and ability to discuss with and influence leadership teams as well as to collaborate with and influence various clients

Ability to handle multiple projects and requisitions simultaneously

Strong project management and time management skills required

Ability to productively work under tight time constraints with competing priorities and potentially stressful situations

Ability to deal appropriately with confidential information

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Ability to communicate tactfully verbally and in writing to gather and relay information in a multinational environment consisting of department heads managers and coworkers

Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (ie Excel Word and PowerPoint)

Must have basic Excel skills to include building basic formulas and presenting data using creating charts and graphs

Ability to read write and speak in English in order to understand and interpret written procedures This includes the ability to give and receive instructions in written and verbal forms and to effectively present information and respond to questions from management co-workers and shipboard employees
