Our team is responsible for optimizing and continuously developing Siemens Energy’s FACTS portfolio. We aim to actively shape the market for grid stabilization solutions. As an R&D Project Manager (f/m/d) for Synchronous condenser (SynCon), you drive complex development projects, ensure alignment across stakeholders, and take full responsibility for achieving agreed project objectives. Together, we contribute to the energy transition and enable a more sustainable future.

How You’ll Make an Impact

Lead and manage complex R&D projects in the field of synchronous condenser solutions with full responsibility for scope, schedule, cost, and quality

Define and maintain integrated project plans, ensuring transparency of progress and proactive management of risks, deviations, and changes

Drive effective project governance, including milestone tracking, reporting, and structured decision-making processes

Foster a high-performance, collaborative team environment and guide cross-functional teams towards successful project execution

Interface with key stakeholders across R&D, Engineering, Sales, and Product Management to ensure alignment with strategic portfolio objectives

What You Bring

University degree (Master’s or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering; a Mechanical Engineering degree may be considered only if combined with strong relevant electrical engineering and electrical machines knowledge

Strong expertise in power systems, high-voltage engineering, and grid stabilization technologies (FACTS/HVDC knowledge is an advantage)

Proven experience in managing complex R&D or engineering projects, including leadership of multidisciplinary teams

Ability to manage multiple projects in parallel in a dynamic and international environment

Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills combined with a structured and result-oriented mindset

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills as well as fluency in English and German (written and spoken)
