About the team and the role:
Join eBay’s Global Planning & Operations team as the Strategic Operations & Communications Lead for a 14-month parental cover. In this hybrid role, based in London (UK), Berlin (Germany), or the US East Coast, you will help shape organisational strategy, strengthen internal communications, and improve operational excellence across Global Marketing. Reporting to the Head of Strategic Operations & Communications, you will work closely with cross-functional partners and senior leaders to enhance planning processes, support organisational change, and identify opportunities to integrate AI-enabled tools that improve team effectiveness and employee experience.
What you will accomplish:
Partner with the Head of Strategic Operations & Communications to refine team operating rhythms and improve ways of working across the Global Marketing organisation.
Lead the monthly Global Marketing Monthly (GMM) meeting and collaborate with the Planning Manager to support the eBay-wide Monthly Business Review (MBR) process and information flow.
Contribute to the annual planning cycle by improving planning approaches and ensuring clear communication of organisational priorities.
Identify and implement AI-enabled tools and smarter workflows to improve operational efficiency and enhance the employee experience.
Develop and deliver clear, consistent internal communications that help employees understand business priorities and support leaders through organisational change.
Partner on culture, wellbeing, recognition, and belonging initiatives, including coordinating the Connection Initiative program and creating communication toolkits that strengthen employee engagement.
What you will bring:
Strong critical thinking and storytelling skills, with the ability to connect operational activities to broader organisational goals.
Experience improving operational processes by identifying inefficiencies and implementing effective, scalable ways of working.
A proactive approach to AI and emerging technologies, with experience applying AI-enabled tools or workflows to improve team effectiveness.
Experience designing and delivering scalable culture, recognition, or employee engagement programs.
Change management experience, with the ability to develop communications that build understanding and support adoption of new processes and tools.
Strong collaboration and influencing skills, with experience partnering with senior leaders and cross-functional stakeholders.
This is a 14-month parental cover hybrid position based in London (UK), Berlin (Germany), or the US East Coast.
