Responsibilities:

Receive, assess and respond to Hiring Manager requisitions

Develop strong understanding of Coles businesses and their resourcing requirements

Plan, conduct, and evaluate recruitment assignments and apply correct procedures and standards of delivery

Ensure appropriate numbers of candidates applying and implement sourcing measures to address any shortfalls.

Ensure candidate referral ratios meet or exceed prescribed standards through careful screening against specific job requirement

Participate in implementation of new procedures and strategies.

Identify issues and barriers to completion of talent acquisition assignments and initiate actions to resolve them.

Ensure a sense of urgency to expedite recruitment assignments and manage candidate and client’s expectations

Anticipate future recruitment needs and provide proactive guidance to Hiring Managers and business partners

Conduct checks on candidates before hire, including Working Rights checks and reference checks as required.

Advice on career opportunities and enable all candidates to feel acknowledged and valued

Ensure that all responsibilities, and stakeholder interactions are carried out in a manner which reflects and promotes Coles values.

Liaise with hiring managers to confirm requirements, timeframes and sourcing activity and assist them to understand correct process, their obligations and reciprocal timeframes.

Respond to Hiring Manager and candidate queries and concerns in a timely, accurate and professional manner

Participate in meetings and discussions with People & Culture and other Business partners to ensure understanding of needs

Openly receive and act upon feedback and suggestions from stakeholders as appropriate

Actively participate in meetings, projects, conference calls and workshops

Build cooperative relationships with external talent acquisition service providers as required.

Build relationships with Recruitment colleagues in your own and in other States, to facilitate the free flow of information and ideas

Build positive relationships with People & Culture and operational partners to facilitate service delivery that meets their needs as well as an open flow of information and feedback.

Provide ongoing coaching and consulting to hiring managers and People & Culture Business partners

Qualifications:

Experience administering a recruitment process in a high volume, transactional environment

Knowledge of recruitment processes and implementation of sourcing strategies for entry level positions

High level customer service and issue resolution

Experience working to deadlines and project timeframes

Experience influencing others and negotiating outcomes

Some understanding of recruitment processes and methodologies

Ability to identify core requirements for entry level job roles

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Ability to build and manage positive stakeholder relationships

Proficiency with MS Office Functions and Recruitment Management Systems (preferably Page Up.)

Working understanding of relevant legislative requirements including Equal Opportunity, anti-discrimination, Work Rights etc.
