This is an opportunity to take on a purpose-led leadership role in a cutting edge Data & Analytics Data Management team
Acting as a consultant, you’ll be responsible for developing and embedding data management best practices across the bank, ensuring a comprehensive, bank-wide perspective on data risk
You’ll bring advanced analytics to life through visualisation to tell powerful stories and influence important decisions for key stakeholders, giving you excellent recognition for your work
We are offering this role at vice president level
What you'll do
As a Data & Analytics Manager, you’ll be a key contributor to the Data Management vision, partnering with functions, franchises, and legal entities (FFLE) to ensure effective management of data risk across the bank. You’ll be leading and coaching colleagues to plan and deliver strategic agreed project and scrum outcomes.
You’ll also drive the use of advanced analytics in your team to develop data management best practices and business solutions which meet the needs of our stakeholders and increase the understanding of our business, including its customers, processes, channels and products. You’ll support sustainable and scalable data management federation by accelerating FFLE delivery of core data management activity.
As well as this, you’ll be:
Working closely with business stakeholders to define detailed, often complex and ambiguous business questions, problems or opportunities
Implementing and integrating new tools, technologies, and methodologies to deliver insights that enable our customers and colleagues to better understand data management outcomes, data quality, and data risk.
Influencing, supporting, and contributing to the successful delivery of the Data Management Strategy.
Promoting and embedding agile working practices within your team and across the organisation to enhance operational efficiency and responsiveness for both colleagues and customers.
Planning and delivering data and analytics resource, expertise and solutions, which brings commercial and customer value to business challenges
Communicating data management opportunities and bringing them to life in a way that business stakeholders can understand and engage with
Assist in refining the Data Quality Issue management processes, including issue logging, impact assessment, and resolution tracking to strengthen data governance
The skills you'll need
We’re looking for a capable leader with a passion for data and analytics, and experience of coaching and supporting their colleagues to succeed. You’ll bring extensive knowledge of data management and data risk within the banking, regulatory and cloud-environment. Along with advanced analytics knowledge, you’ll bring an ability to simplify data into clear data visualisations and compelling insight using appropriate systems and tooling.
You’ll also demonstrate:
At least eight years of relevant experience
Candidates with data management certifications and an MBA are preferred
Solid exposure to tools such as Collibra, Axon , IDQ , Manta, AWS preferred
Knowledge of data architecture, key tooling and relevant coding languages
Experience of translating data and insights for key stakeholders
Good knowledge of data engineering, data science and decisioning disciplines
Strong communication skills with the ability to engage with a wide range of stakeholders
