As a member of the APAC Rail Executive Team, the Rail Systems Business Leader will play a critical role in strengthening our position as a leading rail systems and integration advisor across the Asia Pacific region. This role will drive technical excellence, project delivery success, business growth and cross-disciplinary collaboration, ensuring innovative, high-value solutions are delivered to clients. The Business Leader will lead the development of rail systems capability, foster strategic client relationships and champion systems thinking to deliver integrated, whole-of-system outcomes across complex rail projects.

The Opportunity

Lead and implement the APAC Rail Systems strategy, providing market and technical leadership across major projects, pursuits and bids.

Build and strengthen relationships with key clients, rail authorities, industry partners and suppliers to drive business growth and secure new opportunities.

Provide technical oversight and quality assurance for major rail systems projects, ensuring successful delivery and commercial performance.

Lead, mentor and grow a high-performing rail systems community across APAC, fostering collaboration, innovation and professional development.

Drive multidisciplinary integration, sustainability and digital delivery initiatives to deliver innovative whole-of-system solutions for clients.

Is this role right for you?

Chartered Engineer status (e.g. CEng, CPEng) with a degree in a relevant engineering discipline and 20+ years of rail industry experience, including significant expertise in rail systems.

Proven success in growing rail systems businesses, securing major commissions, leading strategic bids and developing long-term client relationships across multiple geographies.

Deep technical knowledge in one or more rail systems disciplines such as signalling, train control, communications, power systems, rolling stock or systems integration.

Strong leadership, stakeholder management and commercial acumen, with experience managing teams, portfolios of projects and business performance.

A recognised industry profile with excellent communication skills, a strong professional network and a passion for innovation, thought leadership and business development.
