Role Overview
We are looking for a highly analytical and process-driven Manager / Senior Manager – Inventory Controls, Audit & Compliance to build strong inventory governance across warehouse and supply chain operations.
This role will be responsible for designing and enforcing inventory control mechanisms, conducting regular process and stock audits, leveraging data and technology to identify gaps, and ensuring compliance with operational and security protocols. The role will also drive inventory health by ensuring timely RTVs, near-expiry stock liquidation, and excess inventory clearance in collaboration with demand planning, buying, and category
teams.
Key Responsibilities – Inventory Control & Governance
Design and implement inventory control frameworks across warehouses.
Monitor inventory accuracy, shrinkage, and reconciliation processes.
Define cycle count frameworks and audit cadence across SKUs, categories, and warehouses.
Investigate inventory variances, stock adjustments, and reconciliation gaps.
Establish inventory health monitoring mechanisms including aging inventory tracking and stock risk alerts.
Process Audits & Operational Compliance
Conduct regular audits of warehouse processes including GRN, putaway, picking, dispatch, and RTV processes.
Identify process leakages and implement corrective actions.
Develop SOPs, process documentation, and audit checklists to standardize operations.
Ensure operational teams follow inventory governance protocols. Data, Analytics & Technology
Build automated dashboards and monitoring systems for inventory controls.
Partner with product and tech teams to implement system-based inventory controls and exception alerts.
Track SKU-level discrepancies, vendor mismatches, and warehouse compliance metrics.
Use data analytics to detect anomalies, operational risks, and fraud indicators.
Security & Loss Prevention
Design and enforce inventory security protocols across warehouses.
Identify pilferage risks and implement preventive controls.
Investigate stock loss incidents and recommend corrective measures.
Ensure restricted access to inventory-sensitive areas and enforce accountability frameworks.
Inventory Health & Clearance Management
Ensure timely processing and closure of RTV (Return to Vendor) inventory.
Monitor near-expiry inventory and work with demand, sales, and category teams to drive liquidation before expiry.
Identify excess inventory buildup and coordinate clearance plans through pricing, promotions, or redistribution.
Build early warning systems for slow-moving, aging, and dead inventory.
Drive liquidation programs and monitor stock health metrics across warehouses.

Skills & Experience
6–10+ years experience in inventory control, warehouse governance, supply chain audit, or loss prevention.
Experience in e-commerce, quick commerce, retail, or FMCG distribution preferred.
Strong understanding of WMS/ERP systems and warehouse processes.
Strong analytical skills with ability to use data to identify operational gaps.
Technical Skills
Advanced Excel / Google Sheets
SQL or data analysis tools
BI tools such as Metabase, Power BI, or Tableau
Ability to work with product and engineering teams to implement system controls
