Location: Pune, Hyderabad, Bangalore, Mumbai
Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer with strong expertise in Power BI, Snowflake, and dbt to build scalable, cloud-based data platforms and analytical solutions. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in the Property & Casualty (P&C) Insurance domain with a solid understanding of policy, claims, billing, and customer data models. Mandatory Skills
6+ years of experience in Data Engineering and Cloud Data Platforms.
Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake.
Expertise in dbt (Data Build Tool) for data transformation and modeling.
Advanced experience with Power BI for dashboard development and reporting.
Strong SQL skills with performance tuning and query optimization.
Experience in designing and implementing modern ETL/ELT pipelines.
Knowledge of data warehousing concepts, dimensional modeling, and star/snowflake schemas.
Experience working with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
Strong understanding of CI/CD and version control (Git).
Domain Expertise (Mandatory)
Experience in the Insurance domain (Property & Casualty preferred).
Strong understanding of:
Policy Administration
Claims Management
Billing Systems
Customer Data Models
Insurance reporting and analytics
Ability to translate business requirements into scalable data solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and optimize scalable data pipelines using Snowflake and dbt.
Build reusable data models and transformation frameworks.
Develop interactive Power BI dashboards and reports for business stakeholders.
Work closely with business users to gather reporting and analytics requirements.
Optimize Snowflake performance, storage, and cost.
Ensure data quality, governance, and security standards.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Data Architects, Business Analysts, and Product Owners.
Troubleshoot production issues and implement performance improvements.
Support data migration and modernization initiatives.
Preferred Skills
Experience with orchestration tools such as Airflow, Azure Data Factory, or similar.
Knowledge of Python for data engineering and automation.
Familiarity with DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code.
Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Educational Qualification
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
