We are seeking a Product Manager to join an Information Technology Consulting team based in City Hall. This 1-year contract role with a 1-year extension option offers a structured Monday to Friday schedule, with working hours from 8:30 AM to 6:00 PM (Friday until 5:30 PM), along with a basic salary and completion bonus. The role provides an opportunity to drive digital transformation initiatives, shape product strategies, and collaborate with diverse stakeholders across technology and business functions.
What You’ll Be Doing
Define and execute product vision, objectives, and roadmaps together with the Product Owner and key stakeholders.
Identify digital transformation opportunities and contribute to go-to-market strategies.
Manage product budgets, support funding proposals, and track expenditure effectively.
Apply Design Thinking approaches to uncover user needs, identify gaps, and create suitable solutions.
Conduct user research, experiments, and validation activities to enhance user experiences and journeys.
Analyse government technology landscapes and evaluate existing solutions to support product decisions.
Develop data analytics and insights to guide business and product improvements.
Oversee project scope, budget, timelines, reporting, and delivery for development and maintenance initiatives.
Coordinate with vendors, application teams, infrastructure teams, business units, procurement, and finance stakeholders.
Support IT system procurement activities and ensure projects and incidents meet Service Level Agreement requirements.
Gather and manage requirements while reviewing functional specifications, test plans, test outcomes, user guides, and project documentation.
Plan and coordinate user acceptance testing, security assessments, performance testing, training, and implementation activities.
Ensure products are deployment-ready and operationally prepared.
Evaluate enhancement requests and coordinate ongoing maintenance activities with support teams.
Ensure adherence to IT management, quality, and security policies.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
What We’re Looking For
A tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline, with at least 3 years of experience in product management or related roles.
Hands-on experience across the full product development lifecycle, including product management, IT business analysis, application solution design, and testing.
Familiarity with modern development approaches such as Agile, Cloud, Design Thinking, and Product-Centric Development.
Experience in data analysis, product analytics, and using insights to support product-related decisions.
Practical experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS), including EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, and CloudWatch, for application deployment, management, and scaling.
Experience with Salesforce platforms, including Salesforce Service Cloud and Agentforce, covering implementation, configuration, integration, process automation, and reporting.
Knowledge of current product trends, best practices, and emerging technologies.
Relevant certifications such as PMP, CITPM, Certified Scrum Master, or equivalent will be advantageous.
Experience managing government projects and vendors will be advantageous.
