About Your New Role
Reporting to the National Manager – Product & Marketing, the Marketing Communications Manager will lead the development and execution of integrated marketing and communications strategies across the Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles portfolio. Working closely with internal stakeholders, agency partners, dealers and global teams, the role is responsible for delivering brand, product, retail and dealer marketing initiatives that strengthen brand performance and support national sales objectives.
Your Main Responsibilities Will Include
Lead the development and execution of national retail marketing strategies in collaboration with product and sales teams
Manage creative, media, social and specialist agency partners to deliver distinctive campaigns aligned to brand and commercial objectives
Develop brand and product marketing initiatives that strengthen the Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles identity, in coordination with the Passenger Vehicles brand team where relevant
Lead end-to-end campaign management for model launches and lifecycle activity, including briefing, planning, stakeholder alignment, approvals, implementation and post-campaign review
Support media planning and agency coordination to ensure campaign strategies, budgets and performance reporting support brand and sales objectives
Manage sponsorships, partnerships and ambassador/influencer activity, ensuring clear objectives, effective activation and measurable outcomes
Support dealership brand guidelines, dealer-aided asset systems and National Co-Op activity
Coordinate market research, customer insights and competitor analysis to inform brand, product and campaign strategy
Monitor campaign performance and contribute to regular reporting, agency reviews and strategic planning activities
Maintain oversight of marketing budgets, purchase orders and expenditure approvals
About You
Tertiary qualification in Marketing, Communications or a related discipline will be highly regarded
Minimum 5 years’ experience in a marketing communications, brand or integrated marketing role, ideally within automotive or a fast-paced consumer industry
Proven track record in delivering integrated retail, brand or product campaigns across multiple channels
Strong understanding of media and channel planning principles, with the ability to turn strategy into clear campaign activity
Experience managing agencies, sponsorships, partnerships or ambassador programs will be highly regarded
High-level communication, influencing and stakeholder management skills
Proficiency in campaign reporting, marketing metrics and using insights to guide continuous improvement
Exceptional organisational and time management capabilities, with strong attention to detail
Strategic mindset with the ability to adapt, prioritise and perform under pressure
Familiarity with the Australian automotive market and dealership environment will be highly regarded
