About the role

The role!

This is an exciting role for any person looking continue a career in networking and security technologies. It will involve interaction with some of the country’s leading technical architects and design engineers in the Aruba Clearpass and Juniper arenas currently working for Conscia Ireland

Development within the technology fields will be encouraged and supported from management and fellow engineers and obvious progression will be rewarded. This will include hands on interaction with senior engineers on staging their project equipment as well as formal technical training and certification.

The Network Operating Centre (NOC) is located in Dublin and from here we support our customer base. This involves secure remote access to the customer’s infrastructure to allow troubleshooting their network incidents.

FullIrish or European Drivinglicense.

Desirable Qualifications

Engineering or related bachelor’s degree.

Qualifications must be in Aruba Clearpass and other technical qualifications in major vendor technologies such as JNCIA or JNCIP.

Previous experience working in in a NOC/NSOC or call centre environment.

Key contributions:

Support customers’ Juniper and Aruba network / security environments

Provide first and second level support for all reported incidents

Incident management from initial customer engagement to resolution ensuring adherence to SLA’s. Troubleshooting of such incidents utilising vendor partners for technical assistance and other team members.

Escalation of issues to more senior team members and vendor partners

Perform daily health checks on specific customer networks formulating technical reports for customer review

Take ownership for management of these technical environments. Patch management, preventative maintenance of internal IT infrastructure and troubleshooting any infrastructure incidents

Ensuring all managed services RMM tools are operating correctly and efficiently is a secure configuration

Offer opinion on the improvement and enhancement of the Managed Service and NSOC environments

Other Responsibilities:

Incident management ensuring all incidents logged within the system, are done so in accordance with incident management process

Liaise with manufacturer TAC support teams during customer incidents
