Construction Project Manager (12-Month Contract)

Location: Murfreesboro, TNEmployment Type: Full-Time | 12-Month Project

We are seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to oversee a commercial construction project from groundbreaking through final completion in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. This is a full-time, on-site position for approximately 12 months.

This position requires a hands-on leader who can effectively manage subcontractors, maintain schedules, control project costs, and ensure exceptional workmanship while delivering the project on an accelerated timeline.

Responsibilities

Manage all day-to-day construction activities from project start through final completion.

Develop and maintain project schedules and daily work plans.

Create and enforce daily task lists to keep the project on schedule.

Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, inspections, and material deliveries.

Ensure all work complies with project plans, specifications, building codes, and contract documents.

Conduct routine jobsite inspections to monitor quality, safety, and progress.

Manage budgets, invoices, purchase orders, and project documentation.

Procure materials and coordinate project logistics.

Communicate effectively with ownership, architects, engineers, inspectors, subcontractors, and vendors.

Perform quality control inspections to ensure all work meets company standards.

Maintain OSHA compliance and a safe jobsite.

Operate aerial lifts or similar equipment when necessary.

Identify and resolve field issues quickly while minimizing delays.

Qualifications

5+ years of commercial construction project management experience preferred.

Strong understanding of commercial construction methods, sequencing, scheduling, and quality control.

Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.

Experience managing subcontractors and multiple trades simultaneously.

Strong organizational, leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook (email), and Word.

Experience with construction management software such as Procore is a plus.

Knowledge of OSHA regulations and jobsite safety practices.

Requirements

Ability to work full-time on-site in Murfreesboro, TN.

Dependable, professional, and financially responsible.

Ability to pass a background check and drug screening if required.
