About Us

AVE Accounting Services provides bookkeeping, accounting, payroll, tax preparation, sales tax compliance, financial reporting, business consulting, and IRS/state tax representation services to individuals, businesses, and nonprofit organizations.

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Bookkeeper/Accountant to join our growing team. This position begins on a part-time, as-needed basis with the opportunity to grow into a regular part-time or full-time position as the firm continues to.

Experience is welcome, but not required. We are happy to train someone who is eager to learn and build a long-term career in accounting. This position is ideal for an accounting student, recent graduate, or someone looking to gain hands-on experience in public accounting.

Responsibilities

Perform bookkeeping using QuickBooks Online and Zoho Books.

Record and categorize financial transactions.

Reconcile bank and credit card accounts.

Prepare monthly financial statements.

Assist with payroll processing.

Prepare and file sales and use tax returns.

Assist with payroll tax filings and other required business compliance filings.

Communicate with the IRS, state agencies, and local taxing authorities when necessary.

Assist with business registrations, licenses, and regulatory filings.

Support tax preparation during tax season.

Meet with clients as needed.

Maintain confidential client information.

Deliver exceptional customer service.

Qualifications

Accounting student, recent graduate, or someone interested in bookkeeping and accounting.

Experience is preferred but not required.

Strong attention to detail.

Excellent organizational and communication skills.

Willingness to learn and grow professionally.

Must reside in Denver or nearby areas.

Schedule

Hybrid work environment.

Extremely flexible schedule.

Work is assigned as client projects become available.

Opportunity to grow into a larger role as the firm expands.

Compensation

Starting at $22.00 per hour.

Hours are based on client workload and business demand.
