Subsystems Engineer (m/f/d) - Data Handling Systems
OHB's spacecrafts observe the Earth, relay valuable data, study the solar system, and much, much more. The avionics engineering department works at the core of each spacecraft: We make sure the spacecraft remains under control, make sure all science data is collected. We even make sure that on-board failures are automatically recovered - because in space there is no repair shop. We are constantly growing and in search of individuals who combine a sound technical background with a high level of motivation. Your Tasks
Your tasks are mission-dependent and evolve throughout the life cycle of our spacecraft design and implementation process, from initial conception to the support of the launch campaign. Depending on your experience and preferences the tasks may include
Design and specification of the data handling subsystem
Evaluation of technical proposals from suppliers
Technical officer guiding the unit procurements throughout the lifecycle (from conception, through design and implementation phases, until unit-level verification)
Data handling subsystem integration into the spacecraft
Unit- and subsystem verification
Your Qualifications
A degree in engineering with a major in electrical engineering, aerospace engineering, systems engineering, or compatible qualification
Self-managed, proactive and solution-oriented working style
Ability to work in a multi-cultural team
Fluency in spoken and written English
Fluency in German is desired (language skills can be improved through company-facilitated trainings)
