Accountant (AR/AP)

Job Summary

MINISO Canada is currently expanding and we are looking for an Accountant (AR/AP) to support our finance operations across multiple store locations and corporate functions.

Work Location: North York, ON

Salary Range: Starting from $48,000 per year, commensurate with experience

Responsibilities:

Manage full-cycle Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) processes

Process invoices, verify accuracy, and ensure timely payments and collections

Monitor outstanding receivables and follow up on overdue accounts

Reconcile vendor statements, resolve discrepancies, and maintain accurate records

Perform regular bank and account reconciliations

Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities

Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with company policies

Support budgeting, expense tracking, and financial reporting

Collaborate with internal departments (operations, merchandizing, stores) to ensure smooth financial processes

Prepare reports and analyze data to support business decisions

Qualifications:

Minimum 2 years of accounting experience, preferably in AR/AP functions

Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

Knowledge of basic accounting principles and financial processes

Proficiency in Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or similar)

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
