Senior Manager - Finance Controllership

About the Team

The Finance Controllership team at Navi is responsible for overseeing and managing the company’s financial activities, ensuring the accuracy of financial reporting and compliance with regulatory standards. The team manages day-to-day accounting operations, monitors financial health, and drives initiatives to enhance financial performance and transparency.

About the Role

This role provides an exciting opportunity to lead core financial operations and reporting in a regulated NBFC environment. It involves managing statutory compliance, financial analysis, and cross-functional collaboration while driving process improvements and automation initiatives. With a focus on accuracy, governance, and strategic insights, the role is instrumental in supporting financial decision-making and business growth.

What We Expect From You

Oversee day-to-day financial operations and transactions

Review and present Monthly MIS in an accurate and timely manner.

Conduct variance analysis to identify discrepancies and propose corrective actions.

Drive quarterly statutory financial reporting and financials results as per SEBI/RBI guidelines.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams

Manage and mentor 3-4 team members.

Ensure compliance with Ind AS, financial regulations and policies.

Analyze financial data, trends and performance to provide meaningful insights and recommendation

Review accounting for borrowings, investments and loans.

Own RBI return filings and ad hoc information sharing with RBI as and when required

Coordinate and oversee internal and external audits.

Preparation of data and information for audit/board meetings

Understand, evaluate and propose accounting policies for new products/constructs.

Lead process improvements, automation and system enhancements.

Drive projects for public debt and equity issuances

Must Haves

Chartered Accountant with working experience of 7+ years.

Strong written and verbal communication skills with a talent for articulating.

Good knowledge of Ind AS and RBI NBFC regulations.

Strong problem solving

Experience of leading a team

A self starter and proactive individual who can interact with various stakeholders and influence people with no reporting relationship
