About the role

Overview:

At PepsiCo, we are looking for an experienced and inspiring Line Lead to lead the operational agenda of our Can and RGB production cells, overseeing both Production and Maintenance teams at our manufacturing plant in Etxabarri-Ibiña (Vitoria-Gasteiz).

This role requires a strong people leader with a passion for operational excellence, capable of driving safety, productivity, efficiency, cost optimization, continuous improvement, and high-performance team culture. Responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities

Operations Leadership

Lead the operational performance of the Can and RGB production areas, ensuring the achievement of Safety, Quality, Service, Cost, and Productivity targets.

Drive operational excellence through effective execution of manufacturing strategies and best practices.

Develop and foster a high-performance culture focused on accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement.

Monitor and improve production efficiency, line performance, OEE, and productivity across the manufacturing process.

Identify operational inefficiencies and implement corrective and preventive actions to optimize workflows and processes.

Collaborate cross-functionally with Supply Chain, Engineering, Quality, EHS, and other stakeholders to achieve business objectives.

Prepare, analyze, and present operational performance reports, productivity metrics, and improvement plans.

Maintenance Leadership

Lead preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities to maximize equipment reliability and plant availability.

Ensure the effective execution of maintenance programs, minimizing downtime and maximizing asset performance.

Partner with Engineering teams to develop and implement technical improvements and innovative solutions.

Drive reliability initiatives and maintenance excellence practices across the plant.

Ensure compliance with all maintenance standards, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

Continuous Improvement & Projects

Champion Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, and productivity initiatives.

Lead transformation and capital investment projects from planning through execution.

Support the implementation of new technologies, processes, and operational best practices.

Promote root cause analysis and structured problem-solving methodologies.

Drive sustainability and operational efficiency improvements aligned with PepsiCo's strategic objectives.

Health, Safety & Environment

Lead by example in promoting a strong safety-first culture.

Ensure compliance with all Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) policies, standards, and legal requirements.

Actively identify and mitigate operational risks while driving continuous safety improvements.

People Leadership

Lead, coach, and develop Production and Maintenance teams.

Build organizational capability through talent development, succession planning, and performance management.

Foster employee engagement and collaboration across all levels of the organization.

Create an inclusive workplace culture aligned with PepsiCo values.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing Engineering or related discipline).

Proven experience leading Operations and Maintenance teams within a manufacturing environment, preferably FMCG.

Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement methodologies, productivity improvement and operational excellence.

Demonstrated experience driving safety, quality, service, cost and people agendas in a production setting.

Solid background in maintenance management, including preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance, equipment reliability and asset performance.

Experience leading cross-functional projects and working effectively within a matrix organization.

Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills with the ability to translate data into actionable business improvements.

Excellent leadership, coaching and people development capabilities, with a proven track record of building high-performing teams.

Results-oriented professional with a winning attitude, growth mindset and passion for delivering sustainable business outcomes.

Fluent in English and Spanish, both written and spoken.
