Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Financial Data Analyst (FGP) – Manhattan, CBO.
In this role, the successful candidate will provide financial and reporting support to the Faculty Group Practice (FGP) to achieve the organizations financial and operational goals. The analyst will work with several of teams to measure FGP performance, identify areas of improvement, and assist in managing project initiatives. This includes collaborating with Business Intelligence (IT), Revenue Cycle Systems (Epic), Corporate Management, and operational teams to maintain and manage data, reports, and reporting tools.
Job Responsibilities:
Independently develops analytical frameworks for large, complete data sets and exercises both discretion and judgment in analytical approach.
Perform root cause analysis to determine cash delays and inaccuracies; summarize analytical findings in a digestible format for senior leadership with a clear understanding of results and thoughtful recommendations
Evaluate data and reports, with various teams including Practice Operations, Credentialing and Managed Care, to identify opportunities for revenue and operational enhancement
Analyze data to provide insights on trends and potential issues; Proactively develop work plans and solutions with management to address problems by providing actionable insights using data
Possess a highly developed process for error checking work and troubleshooting issues/discrepancies; synthesize complex problems and evaluating potential solutions
Work with appropriate NYU Langone Health and IT divisions, including but not limited to Epic and Epic add-on systems; ensure reports and dashboards are updated, disseminated and operate properly and correctly; assist in the creation of additional reporting and dashboard systems (such as Tableau) as determined and needed by Management.
Capable of working as part of a team as well as independently on multiple projects; prioritizes accordingly to meet deadlines.
Mentors junior members of the team on best practices and provides support when necessary
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer science, mathematics, or business or the equivalent combination of experience and education.
Minimum of 1-2 years experience in healthcare or related field.
Proficiency in common software systems.
Knowledge of Tableau a plus.
Proficiency and comfort with databases and manipulation of large data sets.
Ability to work independently, prioritize multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Strong analytics and problem-solving skills. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Strong interest in healthcare business.
Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $66,300.00 – $80,000.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. Step 1
Apply Online
The NYU Langone hiring process begins with you applying through our online portal. Be sure to update and upload your resume. Shortly after you submit your application, you will receive an email confirmation. Ten days after applying you will receive a talent assessment to be completed.
Step 2
Schedule Interviews
If selected to continue the interview process, HR will reach out via phone or email first. Then, depending on your position, they will schedule an interview with unit managers or team members. You are encouraged to dress professionally for all interviews.
Step 3
Receive Offer
If you successfully complete the interview process and are identified as a finalist for the position, we will require that you complete a professional reference process. After evaluating the completed references, a decision will be made on who will receive a preliminary offer. If you receive a preliminary offer, HR will start the onboarding process with an agreed-upon tentative start date.
Step 4
Training & Orientation
You will be contacted by an onboarding specialist who will work with you on your pre-boarding requirements. Once fully cleared, we will ask you to complete compliance orientation regulatory training. On your first day, you will attend an online required orientation to acclimate to the health system and report to your new department based on instructions provided by your hiring manager.
