We’re seeking a Commissioning Supervisor - Mechanical to lead the installation, testing, and startup of mechanical systems in high-performance data centers. This role involves hands-on commissioning of HVAC systems, liquid cooling infrastructure, and piping systems, ensuring all work meets stringent safety, quality, and performance standards.

High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, construction management, or related field preferred.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical commissioning or construction management, with at least 2 years in data center or mission-critical environments.

OSHA-30 certification (or must be obtained within six months of hire).

Advanced understanding of OSHA regulations and company safety protocols.

In-depth knowledge of mechanical systems including high-efficiency HVAC, chilled water, precision cooling, and liquid cooling technologies (e.g., CDU, immersion cooling, direct-to-chip).

Proficient in interpreting P&IDs, mechanical drawings, commissioning scripts, and Change Management plans.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to proactively identify and resolve issues.

Demonstrated leadership and communication skills to manage diverse teams and complex projects. Strong technical writing and documentation capabilities.

Familiarity with commissioning software, Building Management Systems (BMS), and project management tools such as Procore, Primavera, MS Project, and Microsoft Office Suite.

Other important requirements :

Pre-employment screening, including background check and substance testing may be required according to company policies.

Must provide own steel-toed work boots; all other PPE will be supplied.

Must be able to reliably commute to the work operations site daily or have plans to relocate before starting work.

Must be comfortable working a rotational schedule, which includes day and night shifts as well as weekend work, based on project needs.

Employees working night shifts will receive a 15% premium added to their hourly rate only for hours worked during night shifts.

Lead the commissioning of mechanical systems including HVAC, chilled water, and liquid cooling infrastructure.

Verify mechanical installations against design specifications, performance benchmarks, and regulatory standards.

Coordinate with subcontractors to ensure accurate installation, testing, and documentation of mechanical systems.

Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues during startup, testing, and commissioning phases.

Develop and implement Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures to ensure safe energization and operation of mechanical systems.

Conduct walk-through inspections to confirm compliance with project specifications, safety protocols, and industry regulations.

Inspect materials, manufactured components, and installation practices for adherence to contract and code requirements.

Document inspection results, recommend corrective actions, and ensure timely resolution of non-compliant issues.

Provide QA/QC feedback throughout all phases of the project and support the development of risk mitigation strategies.

Train and oversee subcontractor teams to ensure consistent compliance with company policies and procedures.

Ensure all mechanical systems meet contractual obligations, regulatory codes, and safety benchmarks.

Collaborate with field teams, design engineers, and clients to develop integrated, solution-oriented approaches.

Support the development and verification of energy efficiency strategies for mechanical systems.

Compensation

The expected hourly rate for this role is $58.50 U SD.

Actual compensation will be determined based on factors such as experience, qualifications.

Per Diem amount of $180.00 and project allowance, when applicable

15% night-shift premium for eligible roles, when applicable

Overtime compensation for non-exempt workers for hours worked over 40 per week

Relocation and Living-out-allowance (as applicable and based on successful candidate circumstances)
