Senior Product Designer – Furniture & Product Development

Purpose

Key Responsibilities

Lead complex product development projects in consultation with the Chief Design Officer from concept through prototype to productionization including design iterations and production coordination in accordance with the product development process at WITHIN

Manage and provide guidance to Intermediate and Junior Product Development Associates while building design team capabilities

Interface extensively with sales and production teams to resolve customization challenges and compatibility issues

Develop and maintain vendor relationships for specialized materials and collaborate with external designers, artists and artisans

Lead product development for exhibitions including conceptualization, space management and presentation coordination

Create product extensions and collections in art and fine furniture categories to WITHIN's portfolio

Conduct cost estimation and value engineering to optimize product viability and profitability

Participate in award entries and industry recognition initiatives to enhance WITHIN's reputation

Engage in periodic design reviews with Chief Design Officer to refine design sense and strengthen WITHIN's design language

Follow and continuously improve the product development process to enhance efficiency and innovation outcomes

Qualifications

· Degree in Product Design, Industrial Design, or a related field

· Advanced skills in product design and 3D modelling

· Proficiency in software such as AutoCAD, Rhino, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and rendering tools

· Strong aesthetic sense combined with practical knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes

· Deep understanding of interior design concepts, ergonomics, and functionality

5-8 years of experience in product or interior design

Experience & Exposure

· Demonstrated portfolio of completed product designs, with examples of concept-to-production work

· Strong knowledge of current design trends, materials, and technical processes

· Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and managing design projects from start to finish

· Proven ability to deliver high-quality design solutions in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

Pay: ₹60,000.00 - ₹70,000.00 per month
