Senior Full Stack Engineer - Contract Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Principal Full Stack Engineer to join a leading global financial services organisation focused on delivering secure, customer-facing digital solutions. This is an opportunity to provide technical leadership within a Digital Security team, building modern authentication and identity management platforms in a highly regulated environment.

The Principal Full Stack Engineer will play a key role in designing, developing, and supporting enterprise applications, with a strong focus on frontend engineering, backend Java development, and engineering excellence.

Your Responsibilities:

Lead end-to-end software delivery across the SDLC, supporting design, development, testing, deployment, and production support activities.

Develop scalable web applications with a strong frontend focus using Angular, Nx Workspace, pages, and libraries, alongside backend services built with Java and Spring Boot.

Provide technical leadership, mentoring, code reviews, and guidance on engineering standards and best practices.

Design and implement secure, resilient solutions supporting authentication, identity management, and digital security capabilities.

Collaborate with architects, product teams, and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality technology solutions.

About You:

10+ years' experience as a Full Stack Engineer, with strong enterprise application development experience.

Expert-level frontend skills with Angular and experience with modern web architectures, plus strong backend development using Java, Spring MVC, Spring Integration, and Spring Boot.

Strong understanding of CI/CD practices and tooling, including Jenkins and GitHub.

Proven ability to lead technical discussions, influence stakeholders, and drive engineering outcomes.

Experience with cloud technologies, containers (Docker/Kubernetes), monitoring tools, or Generative AI tools is highly desirable.
