About the role
My Dublin based client is recruiting for a Web Designer to join a growing team. This is a perm role working on a hybrid model.
The Web Designer will design, build, and maintain engaging, responsive, and accessible websites and digital experiences. The successful candidate will combine strong UI/UX design skills with front-end development expertise and experience working with Content Management Systems (CMS). They will collaborate with developers and stakeholders to deliver high-quality digital solutions that meet user and business needs.
Key Responsibilities
Design, build, and maintain responsive, user-friendly websites.
Create intuitive UI/UX designs, wireframes, prototypes, and page layouts.
Develop front-end website components using HTML and CSS.
Manage and update website content using a CMS.
Collaborate with developers and stakeholders to deliver digital projects.
Apply accessibility (WCAG) and SEO best practices.
Continuously improve website performance and user experience.
Essential Skills
Excellent CSS skills with the ability to build reusable CSS components from scratch.
Strong HTML and responsive web design knowledge.
Proven experience designing and building websites from concept through to implementation.
Experience with a Content Management System such as Umbraco, WordPress, or similar.
Proficiency in Figma and Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
Strong UI/UX design skills with a portfolio showcasing website design projects.
Good understanding of accessibility, responsive design, and cross-browser compatibility.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Desirable Skills
Knowledge of WCAG accessibility standards.
Understanding of SEO best practices.
Experience using analytics to improve user experience.
Familiarity with Visual Studio/Visual Studio Code and front-end development workflows.
