Responsibilities:
1. Technical Skills & Core Competencies
Power Platform & Low-Code Mastery
Power Apps: Deep knowledge of both Canvas apps (for custom UX) and Model-driven apps (for data-centric processes). Proficiency in Power Fx is essential.
Power Automate: Designing complex cloud flows, handling error logic (try/catch patterns).
Copilot Studio: Building and deploying conversational agents, configuring Generative Answers, and utilizing Entities and Variables for dynamic conversations.
Dataverse: Advanced data modeling, environment variables, and managing security roles/business units.
Azure Services (The "Pro-Code" Bridge)
Azure Functions: Creating serverless APIs to extend Power Platform capabilities.
Azure Logic Apps: For enterprise-grade workflow orchestration where Power Automate hits its limits.
Azure OpenAI & AI Search:** Integrating LLMs into custom applications and managing RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) patterns.
API Management (APIM): Securely exposing backend data to the Power Platform via custom connectors.
Development & DevOps
Languages: Strong command of C# (.NET) for plugins and
JavaScript/TypeScript for PCF (Power Apps Component Framework) controls.
ALM (Application Lifecycle Management): Experience with Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions to automate solution deployment across Dev, Test, and Prod environments.
2. Professional Experience (5-Year Benchmark)
Solution Design: Transitioning from "building what is asked" to "architecting the right tool for the job," including choosing between a custom web app or a Power App based on ROI.
System Integration: A proven track record of connecting the Microsoft stack with third-party systems (e.g., SAP, Salesforce, or legal/HR platforms) using custom connectors.
Mentorship & Leadership: Experience performing code reviews, setting development standards, and potentially managing junior developers or "citizen developers" within a Center of Excellence (CoE).
Troubleshooting & Performance: Optimizing slow-running flows and debugging complex integration issues between Azure and Microsoft 365.
