POSITION SUMMARY

The Barback is responsible for stocking, organizing, and maintaining bar supplies while assisting bartenders in delivering efficient, high-quality service to guests. The Barback works behind the scenes to anticipate needs, maintain cleanliness, and contribute to a positive and professional atmosphere.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Stock bar items, including beverages, garnishes, glassware, and paper products

Refill ice bins and monitor supply levels throughout the shift

Anticipate bartender needs and provide timely assistance to support smooth service

Maintain cleanliness and organization of bar areas, storage rooms, and equipment

Arrive to work on time, prepared, and ready to set up as directed

Adhere to company policies, operating standards, and safety procedures

Deliver prompt, efficient, and quality support to ensure outstanding guest service

Assist with closing duties, including restocking and breakdown of bar stations

Maintain a professional appearance

Understand and be capable of ensuring that all policies and procedures are followed

Performs other duties as required and/or assigned

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

There are no supervisory responsibilities assigned to this position

QUALIFICATIONS

Willingness and drive to exceed guest expectations

Must be personable, friendly and welcoming

Knowledge of bar operations, service standards, and basic food & beverage preparation

Must be able to create and serve drinks and food in a timely manner

Must maintain a well-groomed appearance and good personal hygiene standards

Subject to credit and background screening

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

High School diploma or GED required

Prior experience in a bar, nightclub, or restaurant environment preferred

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Must be personable and proactive in providing guests with the highest level of customer service

Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented and high energy setting, and take direction from supervisor

Must be able to work independently and in a team environment, interacting with multiple departments

Ability to read, speak, and write English language

Must be able to communicate in a clear manner with guests and teammates

Must be able to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and holidays

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Must have or obtain and maintain ServSafe training certification

Must be able to walk/stand extensively, bend, kneel, climb stairs, balance, and maneuver throughout the various areas and surfaces of the venue

Work inside and outside the building is required and may have some exposure to adverse conditions

Must be able to hear and speak to use a two-way radio

Work flexible hours, including nights, overnights, weekends, and holidays
