Summary
The Project Manager - Strategic Business Planning position plays a vital role in identifying, planning, and supporting new business opportunities, requiring strong capabilities in financial planning, business analysis, project coordination, and account support. The ideal candidate will contribute to key initiatives through data analysis, assisting with client relationship development, and supporting project execution across the team. Experience in freight forwarding, business planning, or sales is highly preferred. The role supports the business development team by providing basic financial and business analysis, coordinating projects, and assisting in the implementation of strategic initiatives. This position will also help develop strategies that strengthen client relationships, market presence, and support the execution of key initiatives across the organization.
Compensation
$95,000 - $105,000 yearly salary range. (Subject to Compensation Study Upon Candidate Selection)
Responsibilities
1. Hyundai Business Development
Evaluate current logistics operations to identify strategic business opportunities that support Hyundai Motor Group and its partners.
Collaborate with internal teams and external partners of HMG and Glovis to execute strategic initiatives including business opportunity discovery, operational planning, financial business planning and operations execution.
Develop strategic plans supported by financial analysis, including P&L modeling, cost/revenue forecasting, and scenario analysis to evaluate the viability and profitability of proposed logistics initiatives.
2. Hydrogen Truck Operation Management
Support the implementation of hydrogen logistics initiatives across East and West Coast Operations.
Contribute feasibility analysis for business expansion opportunities, including financial forecasting and operations setup.
Build and maintain mid- to long-term financial forecasts, P&L projections, and sensitivity analyses to guide strategic decisions on fleet expansion and hydrogen supply contracts.
3. Sales Activity Management
Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets.
Track and monitor sales progress and ensure timely follow-up with internal teams.
Support the full sales cycle by preparing presentation materials, drafting proposals, and coordinating negotiations and closing activities.
Traveling domestic and internationally up to 20%

Education & Experience
Bachelors Required
6 - 9 years of direct experience in Business Planning, Logistics, Supply Chain, Freight Forwarding
Physical Requirements
Ability to sit in front of a desk and/or in front of the computer for long periods
Must operate desktop, computers, laptop, printer, scanners, shredders, etc.
Constant use of hand/grasping product, writing, and typing
Sit for 5+ hours per day
Stand, walk, bend, stoop, reach over shoulder, kneel, push, pull 1-3 hours per day
