
New Grad: Business Analyst
About the role
We are hiring analytical and communication-focused graduates to join as Business Analysts here at CGI. These roles bridge business needs and technology solutions, ensuring successful delivery of high-impact digital and financial solutions.
CGI is providing a reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role. The determination of this range includes factors such as skill set level, geographic market, experience and training, and licenses and certifications. Compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $50,000-$80,000.
Your future duties and responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
Gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements
Work with stakeholders to understand business processes and identify improvement opportunities
Translate business requirements into system specifications and user stories
Perform data analysis and validation using SQL
Support product backlog management and prioritization
Facilitate communication between business, development, and QA teams
Assist in project coordination, tracking deliverables, and ensuring timelines are met
Support testing activities including UAT coordination
Required qualifications to be successful in this role
Required Skills & Qualifications
Strong willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Information Systems, or related field
Strong proficiency in SQL and data analysis, excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, and a solid understanding of business processes.
Exposure to finance or banking domains is preferred
Basic understanding of APIs and testing tools (Postman)
Foundational knowledge of software development lifecycle
Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking abilities
Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting
Strong organizational and time management skills
