Job Introduction

The Senior Project Manager- Visual Projects is a vital role of the Visual Projects team, reporting to Head of Visual Projects, managing and delivering brand initiatives to Selfridges, whilst maintaining the important house brand principles. To ensure the effective project management of all brand partnership builds across all stores, ensuring all projects are in line with Building Regulations, Fire & Life Safety Regulations, and CDM Regulations.

As the Senior Project Manager- Visual Projects, you will:

Provide essential project management, under the guidance of Head of Visual Projects, to plan and coordinate the delivery of brand led retail activations and other key projects as required.

This is a critical role in delivering extraordinary customer experiences for Selfridges. Part of a cross departmental function, working across creative, marketing and property to facilitate the management and delivery of key brand projects. The jobholder will also interact with many other departments in the business (e.g. Buying and Merchandising, Retail Operations etc.) and external partners, to ensure content is of a consistently high standard.

This is an essential role for a Senior Project Manager with both creative and project management experience, developing the Selfridges brand and retail experience.

Understand the complexities of delivering projects in a working retail environment, particularly in luxury Department Stores, with the ability to liaise with multiple stakeholders at all levels is a prerequisite for the role.

Liaise with people from all areas and levels of the business as well as external teams of brands and contractors.

Stakeholder management and communication are key. This role will also involve coordinating and managing all aspects of a project including day to day project, programme, budget and administration tasks.

Manage the critical paths, budgets, and detail design project packs. The job holder will demonstrate excellent communication and organisational skills and ensure relevant documentation is accurate and up to date. They will be able to provide transparency and clear accountability at all times.

Be required to present at a Senior level in the business, so confident presentation skills and the ability to give clarity to multi-layered projects is essential.

Support on campaign budget management where applicable, ensuring that functions are communicating their latest spend and updating trackers and line manager accordingly.

Communicate correct codes to Project Team leads at the outset of project delivery

Maintain a clear visibility & transparency on budget expenditure on projects at all times, communicated directly and competently with finance and accounts as appropriate.

Build strong and effective working relationships with Project Leads and Customer Channel Planners to ensure campaigns are running smoothly.

Operate with meticulous accuracy, probing and analysing projects looking for gaps in information or planning.

Communicate confidently, clearly and openly with people using a range of styles and media.

Produce written work and data that is accurate, clear and well presented.

Use impeccable organisational skills to facilitate focus, accuracy and quality in the relentlessly fast paced turnover of content.

Communicate matters of logistics and scheduling to all stakeholders clearly, ensuring all areas of remit/responsibility are understood and agreed. Adhere to all company policies and procedures, e.g. absences, time and attendance and holidays, etc.

Execute a communication plan for all projects

Communicate clearly and effectively both internally and externally

Present confidently and effectively at board and store level Seek feedback and respond constructively to criticism

Establish and maintain good working relationships with colleagues and external parties

You’ll Have:

Extensive Experience in retail design, preferably experience with working with brands and luxury brands.

Extensive experience in managing a team, proven experience of managing a team are essential as there will be line management responsibilities as part of the role.

Project management specific qualifications is an advantage

Sketch Up or 3D rendering advantage

Experience with CAD and Adobe Suite
