What to Expect
Tesla is seeking a Product Manager for Factory Software Quality Systems. The Factory Software team is responsible for various Quality Systems used to ensure that the products we build are made to the highest quality standards.
In this role, you will manage the product vision and roadmap for various Quality Systems used at Tesla, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to drive end-to-end solutions that help improve yields, reduce cost of quality.
What You'll Do
Define and execute the product vision, strategy, and roadmap to enhance and optimize Tesla’s Quality Systems and analysis tools
Lead cross-functional collaboration with Product, Design, Engineering, QA, and Production Support teams to drive the development and continuous improvement of the systems
Translate customer and internal team pain points into intuitive, scalable product features
Write clear product requirements, prioritize ruthlessly, and partner with engineering and design to deliver innovative, high-quality solutions at speed
Use data, experimentation, and feedback loops to continuously refine the platform, improving conversion, efficiency, and customer satisfaction
Collaborate across global operations to adapt workflows to diverse regulatory and market requirements without sacrificing simplicity
What You'll Bring
Must be a subject matter expert in Manufacturing Quality with direct hands-on experience in quality-focused roles (e.g., Quality Engineer, Quality Manager, Process Engineer, or equivalent)
Candidates should understand quality workflows and pain points from working in these environments
Strong understanding of manufacturing quality metrics including First Pass Yield (FPY), DPMO, OEE, and Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ).Strong analytical skills with the ability to query and interpret data, trends, and algorithms, demonstrating comfort with logic and numbers to support decision-making
A proactive mindset, with a bias towards taking action based on available information and the ability to work through ambiguity
Success in leading new initiatives, driving results with limited resources and evolving information
Effective collaboration across cross-functional teams, balancing multiple competing priorities and fostering alignment among diverse stakeholders. Exceptional communication is a must
Experience implementing AI solutions is a plus

Expected Compensation
$112,000 - $264,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
