Picture yourself brightening someone’s day. When you join our Hotels team, that’s exactly what you’ll do every time you come to work! You will lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the accounting department and play a vital role in maintaining the company's financial stability and health. As a Chief Accountant , you’re not just ensuring accurate and timely recording of financial data – you’re spreading the light and warmth of hospitality by delivering memorable experiences that make the stay for every guest.
Here’s what you’ll do during a typical day:
Ledger Management: Adjust general ledger accounts and maintain supporting documentation.
Compliance Review: Investigate cashier discrepancies and verify travel agent commissions for compliance.
Budget Support: Assist the Director of Finance and the Assistant DOF in budget and forecast preparation.
F&B Control Oversight: Review food and beverage control adjustments and certifications.
Interdepartmental Coordination: Collaborate with other departments and government agencies on accounting matters.
Policy Compliance: Ensure adherence to accounting policies, SOPs, and internal controls.

In addition, this role requires the following minimum qualifications:
University degree in Accounting or Finance; professional accounting qualification preferred
Minimum 3 years’ experience as a General Ledger Supervisor or in a similar managerial accounting role within hospitality
Strong knowledge of financial reporting, general ledger, and internal controls
Familiarity with local tax laws and government liaison experience
Proficient in Microsoft Office and hotel financial systems; Hilton standards knowledge is a plus
Fluent in written and spoken English
Detail-oriented, reliable, and able to manage multiple tasks efficiently
Flexible with working hours, especially during month-end closing
