About the role
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Leading and Management of all LEAN topics across the MDC
Lead, develop and manage a direct team (e.g. LEAN and BI/continuous improvement staff), including performance management, coaching, capability building and succession, fostering an engaged and high-performing team.
Provide cross-functional (transversal) leadership across the operation, aligning process owners, shifts and support areas to deliver the site's goals and KPIs, and embedding a sustainable continuous improvement culture throughout the DC.
Function as a change agent. Continuously challenge the way things are done. Promote creativity and out of the box thinking.
Regularly conduct internal Lean audits to monitor progress.
Responsibility for optimal use of Labor Management tool within DC incl. labor planning & performance management
Maintenance of LM tool incl. process analyses & time studies
Continuous support of IT teams to ensure that labor management solution provides the optimal outputs & new business requirements are captured
Reports to the Regional Lean Manager to align on standardized LEAN implementation (dotted line)
Single point of contact (SPOC) for all LEAN related topics in his area of responsibility
Manage the implementation of LEAN Management methodology to help the business achieve its goals and objectives. Improvement projects are likely to focus on cost competitiveness, product availability, lead-time reduction and supply chain network optimization.
Support MDC process owners to optimize processes and to focus on key customer requirements.
Provide training, coaching and mentoring in LEAN concepts and techniques
Employ leadership and project management skills to ensure projects are completed on time and meet the objectives in the charter.
Develop and manage external as well as internal benchmarking partnerships to ensure a regular exchange of best practices to get additional ideas for improvements
Partner with Industrial Engineers on site. Share and standardize best practices and processes by driving standard work.
Support of the project team during the implementation of Labor Management
Design, develop and maintain operational dashboards in Power BI (productivity, rate per hour, effective/idle time, real-time monitoring) to support DC performance management.
Translate operational needs into actionable KPIs, reporting standards and dashboard requirements for site leadership and process owners.
Ensure data integrity and governance across dashboards (sources, refresh, access and sustainability of reporting solutions) in partnership with IT and BI teams.
Automate manual reports and data workflows to reduce cycle time, manual effort and risk of errors.
Build and maintain a savings and efficiency pipeline linked to LEAN, labor productivity, automation and process optimization, identifying, quantifying and tracking benefits realization (productivity, CPU, overtime and lead-time reduction).
Drive standardization across MDC operations through standard work and SOPs (aligned to the adidas SOP template and SQCDP principles) to reduce process variation and enable target performance, measured through SOP and 6S audit outcomes.
Lead the DC's Performance Ecosystem (PeS) maturity, completing the annual PeS Maturity Assessment and executing the Site Improvement Plan to advance the MDC from its current maturity level toward GOLD standard (3-stripe) certification readiness, in alignment with the aDCE framework.
Support the delivery of MDC operational targets (e.g. UPH target, CPU and combined L0+L1 cost as a percentage of Net Sales) through Lean/CI and cost-reduction initiatives, reviewed in the monthly performance cadence.

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
Minimum 4-year experience in applying LEAN concepts
Demonstrated statistical and analytical problem-solving skills
Strong communication, facilitation and presentation skills to all levels of the organization
Demonstrated project management skills
Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment
Computer skills: MS Office suite, MS Project, MS Visio
Business Intelligence and data visualization skills: Power BI (data modeling, Power Query/ETL, dashboard design), advanced Excel and KPI definition
Fluent in English and local language, third language is a plus
Analytical skills
Ability to validate data sources, ensure data governance and quantify business impact, savings and efficiency gains
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree in logistics or in another relevant discipline
Experience working in logistics or in manufacturing operations
Education as a certified LEAN Ambassador or Six Sigma Green/Black Belt preferred
Experience in BI/reporting, operational analytics or dashboard development preferred; Power BI or Lean Six Sigma certification and experience leading productivity, cost reduction or automation projects are a plus
