Our Organization:
The Merchandising Planning organization powers how TJX plans and optimizes product decisions on a scale. We build and support planning capabilities across Oracle RPAS, IBM Planning Analytics (TM1), Automation (RPA & TOSCA) and Oracle Exadata. You’ll join a fully integrated Agile team that designs, builds, tests, and runs solutions that directly influence Planning strategies and business outcomes.
Role Summary (What you’ll do):
We are seeking a Senior Engineer with strong Oracle RPAS QA experience and automation capability to support Merchandise Planning initiatives.
This role focuses on functional testing, test case design, and automation of regression scenarios to ensure delivery of high-quality, stable, and scalable RPAS solutions. The candidate will work closely with Product, Business, and Engineering teams to validate planning workflows and improve testing efficiency through automation.
The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in RPAS testing, a strong understanding of planning processes, and the ability to contribute to automation frameworks, with limited involvement in RPAS configuration-level debugging or development activities.
Responsibilities
Automation Design, Development & Execution
Design, develop, and maintain automated test cases using enterprise automation tools/frameworks
Build scalable, reusable automation components and test assets
Identify and prioritize automation opportunities across test suites
Execute automated test suites and analyze results
Enhance automation coverage to reduce manual effort and improve release efficiency
Hands-on contribution to automation scripting (beyond execution)
Collaborate with teams to ensure maintainability and scalability of automation assets
Test Execution, Quality Assurance & Defect Management
Create, review, and maintain Test Strategy, Test scenarios, Test cases, and Test data
Analyze user stories and functional requirements to ensure adequate test coverage
Maintain traceability between requirements, test cases, and defects
Execute testing for Oracle RPAS solutions across Functional, Integration, Regression and UAT cycles
Validate end-to-end Merchandise Planning workflows (Unit and Cash Planning), including Planning outputs, Data flows and Calculations
Ensure solutions meet business requirements, quality standards, and functional expectations
Assess software for stability, accuracy, and overall quality
Follow established QA standards, processes, and methodologies
Contribute to improving test processes and coverage
Support business users during UAT and validation cycles
Identify, log, and track defects with clear reproduction steps, supporting data, and evidence
Perform initial defect triage and basic root-cause analysis
Collaborate with development teams for resolution
Retest fixes and ensure complete and accurate defect closure
RPAS Functional and Configuration
Develop strong understanding of RPAS workbooks, measures, hierarchies, and MUP/MCP planning processes
Act as a functional SME for validating business scenarios
Support development-related activities as needed, including understanding configuration changes and assisting in implementation validation
Collaboration, Reporting & Team Contribution
Work closely with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Developers, and QA teams to support delivery across the lifecycle
Participate in Agile ceremonies including Sprint planning, Backlog refinement and Daily stand-ups
Provide regular updates on Test execution status, Risks/issues and Defect progress
Maintain and manage test artifacts, including Test documentation, Execution reports and Dashboards
Provide clear visibility into Automation coverage, Test execution results and Key quality metrics
Support and guide junior QA team members through mentoring and knowledge sharing
Share best practices and contribute to improving overall team capability and QA processes
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across testing, automation, and delivery practices
Skills / Knowledge
Required Qualifications
Minimum 5+ years of experience in Oracle RPAS QA/testing
Strong experience in functional and integration testing
Hands-on experience in test automation frameworks/tools
Strong understanding of Merchandise Planning / Retail Planning processes and systems (preferably RPAS)
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Zephyr, ALM (or similar)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Good communication and collaboration abilities
Required Technical Skills
Oracle RPAS functional testing
Test case design and test execution
Automation testing (enterprise frameworks/tools)
Defect tracking and management
Integration and regression testing
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of integrations with data warehousing, reporting, legacy, or similar systems
Exposure to RPAS configuration development (e.g., hierarchies, measures, rules, workbooks) or ability to understand configuration changes
Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
Experience working in global delivery environments
Exposure to AI-driven testing or automation accelerators
