About the Role

Reporting into the State Manager, the Dealer Business Manager (DBM) is responsible for maintaining and growing relationships within GWM authorised dealerships. The DBM is to ensure dealerships meet their sales targets, provide exceptional customer service, and adhere to company policies and standards. This role involves collaborating with dealerships to achieve business objectives and enhance the overall dealer experience.

Key Responsibilities

Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with authorised dealerships, acting as the primary point of contact between the company and its dealers.

Manage dealer incentives, bonuses, and rebates to motivate dealerships and ensure they meet or exceed their targets.

Act as a mediator in resolving disputes or issues between the company and dealerships, facilitating effective problem-solving. Monitor and analyse dealership sales performance against targets and identify opportunities for improvement.

Collaborate with dealers to develop and implement strategies to increase vehicle and accessory sales.

Conduct regular reviews of dealer financial statements to assess profitability, cash flow, and overall business health.

Monitor and improve customer satisfaction metrics (CSI) at dealerships through targeted initiatives.

Ensure that dealerships adhere to company standards, policies, and regulations to maintain the quality and reputation of the brand.

Identify opportunities to or enhance the dealer network in line with market potential.

Analyse market conditions, competition, and customer trends to develop strategies that enhance the dealership’s performance and market share.

Skills and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Automotive Management, or a related field is highly regarded but not a requirement.

Sound knowledge of the automotive industry and understanding of dealership sales operations (ideally minimum 5 years’ experience).

Previous experience working independently within a fast-paced environment.

Strong interpersonal skills with proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders.

Exceptional verbal and written skills

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

Passion to identify and drive continuous process improvements.

Flexibility to adapt to changing market conditions and dealer needs.
