The role

We are seeking a Senior Financial Crime Analyst to join The Fidelis Partnership’s Compliance function, supporting the business as it grows and diversifies internationally. This role has a strong sanctions advisory focus, supporting the business on complex risk issues across UK (OFSI), US (OFAC), EU and UN sanctions regimes, alongside broader financial crime responsibilities including AML/CFT and anti-bribery and corruption.

You will play a key role in the interpretation, application and oversight of sanctions obligations across multiple jurisdictions, with particular exposure to the Lloyd’s market, insurer and intermediary regulatory requirements, and international operations.

Key accountabilities

Act as a trusted sanctions adviser to the business, providing clear, pragmatic guidance on the application of UK (OFSI), US (OFAC), EU and UN sanctions regimes to underwriting, claims, reinsurance, distribution and third-party relationships.

Assess and advise on multi-jurisdictional sanctions risk, including nexus analysis, territorial scope, ownership and control considerations, and escalation of complex or high-risk cases.

Support the development, implementation and ongoing operation of the Group’s sanctions compliance framework, including:

Financial Crime risk assessments

Sanctions Screening controls and escalation processes

Licensing considerations and engagement with regulators where required

Provide financial crime advisory support on new and existing initiatives, complex transactions, and international licensing and jurisdictional risk queries, ensuring alignment with Lloyd’s sanctions principles and regulatory expectations.

Conduct horizon scanning for sanctions, financial crime and enforcement developments across UK, US and EU regimes, communicating emerging risks and supporting timely implementation of regulatory or policy changes.

Maintain and support the annual review of sanctions and financial crime policies, procedures and guidance, ensuring consistency with regulatory expectations, enforcement trends and market best practice.

Prepare, analyse and deliver sanctions and financial crime management information for senior management, Board and committee reporting.

Undertake and support sanctions and financial crime compliance monitoring reviews, drafting clear, risk-based findings and presenting outcomes to senior stakeholders

Skills & experience

Prior Financial Crime & Sanctions Advisory experience within Lloyd’s & London Market.

UK, US, EU and UN sanctions knowledge, including OFSI/OFAC, licensing, ownership and control, and territorial scope

Lloyd’s/London Market insurance experience. Desirable qualifications such as ICA, ACAMS or equivalent
