Key Responsibilities:

Design Development:

Technical Expertise:

Utilize advanced knowledge of sheet metal and pipe metal fabrication processes (e.g., cutting, bending, welding, assembly) to develop practical, cost-effective designs.

Prototyping & Testing:

Collaborate with the production team to build prototypes, conduct product testing, and iterate designs based on results. Ensure products are manufacturable within design specifications.

Material Selection & Sourcing:

Choose appropriate materials, particularly metal sheets and pipes, ensuring durability, quality, and visual appeal. Work with suppliers to source and order materials.

Collaborative Design:

Work closely with engineering, marketing, and manufacturing teams to ensure designs meet customer needs, industry standards, and production capabilities.

Product Improvements:

Continuously assess current product designs for opportunities to improve functionality, quality, and cost-effectiveness. Implement innovative features based on market trends and customer feedback.

Documentation & Technical Drawings:

Produce accurate technical drawings, CAD models, and other required documentation to communicate design specifications to manufacturing teams.

Client Consultation (if required):

Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and provide tailored design solutions. Present and explain design concepts, prototypes, and finished products.

Requirements:

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.

Experience:

Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in product design, with a focus on furniture and fireplaces. Proficiency in sheet metal and pipe metal fabrication is essential.

Skills:

Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Rhino, or similar tools)

Experience with metalworking processes (welding, bending, cutting, etc.)

Knowledge of material properties, especially metals like steel, aluminum, and copper

Strong understanding of design for manufacturing (DFM) principles

Ability to create 3D models and technical drawings

Problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines

Adaptable and willing to innovate within the design process

Strong portfolio showcasing relevant design experience (furniture/fireplaces, sheet metal, pipe metal)

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
