About the Roles
We are hiring a Cook/Senior Cook for a Japanese retail and F&B environment, with placements available across central, south, east, or west Singapore (including 313 Somerset, Anchorpoint, West Coast, and Parkway Parade). This is a permanent role with a 5.5-day work week and weekday off, offering a gross salary of up to SGD 3000 plus overtime and variable bonus, making it an attractive opportunity for those seeking stability and growth in a dynamic kitchen setting.
What You’ll Be Doing
Prepare and handle various ingredients, including raw fish, with proper care and precision
Cook menu items using methods such as baking, grilling, steaming, and deep-frying
Portion and present dishes in accordance with company quality standards
Ensure freshness and proper storage of all ingredients and finished products
Monitor inventory levels and coordinate replenishment when required
Pack and label sashimi accurately for display and sale
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, equipment, and utensils
Follow correct food handling procedures, including temperature control to prevent spoilage
Uphold food safety and sanitation standards consistently
Supervise and guide junior staff to improve their skills and performance
Interact with customers in an open-concept setting, including greeting and farewells
Support the Chef with additional tasks as assigned
What We’re Looking For
At least 1 year of relevant experience in a similar role
Candidates without experience are welcome as training will be provided
Strong commitment to maintaining food quality, service excellence, and cleanliness
Good personal hygiene practices at all times
Possession of a food hygiene certificate is advantageous
