THE OPPORTUNITY
We have an exciting permanent full-time opportunity for a Strategic Sales Leader to join our Strategic Accounts division, based in Sydney, NSW.
Reporting to the General Manager of Strategic Accounts, this role is accountable for leading sales performance across the Sydney region to meet and exceed sales targets. You will grow, retain and maintain relationships with existing accounts within the Corporate Enterprise (Tier 1), Print and Government markets by leading a team to identify new business opportunities, execute disciplined sales activity and deliver strategic sales plans.
This role requires a hands-on, execution focused sales leader who thrives in a fast paced environment and sets clear expectations around sales activity, pipeline management and performance accountability. You will actively lead from the front, building and leveraging strong C suite relationships while ensuring consistent sales fundamentals are applied across the team to drive business growth.
Key Responsibilities
Set clear expectations around sales activity, behaviours, targets and outcomes across the team.
Establish a regular sales operating rhythm including pipeline reviews, forecast calls, deal reviews and performance check-ins.
Hold team members accountable for executing required sales activities (prospecting, account planning, opportunity progression and close discipline)
Actively participate in key deals, customer meetings and negotiations to support closing activity and coach effective selling behaviours.
Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies to drive revenue growth, market penetration, and achievement of organisational targets.
Lead, coach and develop a high-performing sales team (Strategic Account Directors, Client Partners and Customer Success Managers) through front-line engagement, deal coaching and In field coaching
Own and manage the segment sales pipeline, ensuring forecasting accuracy, proactive risk identification, and disciplined pipeline hygiene.
Analyse sales performance data, market trends and emerging opportunities to optimise strategy, address challenges, and accelerate growth.
Build and nurture strong, long-term client relationships, delivering exceptional professionalism and customer outcomes.
Prepare, manage and present sales business plans, budgets and performance reports, ensuring high data integrity and accurate Salesforce usage.
Skills & Qualifications
Senior leadership experience in complex, solutions based sales environments, with a strong understanding of end to end sales cycles and enterprise solutions selling.
Customer experience at the core of everything they do, consistently championing customer outcomes and long term value creation.
Ability to embed sales discipline and align solutions to customer needs and market opportunities.
Proven ability to lead, motivate and develop high performing, diverse teams, demonstrating ownership of outcomes and consistently meeting or exceeding business and project targets.
Demonstrated experience leading technology teams and large scale programs of work, delivering solutions to critical and complex business challenges.
Strong commercial and business acumen, with the ability to strategize and secure high value deals, understand revenue and profit drivers, and translate these into effective growth strategies.
Highly market aware and growth focused, with the capability to build and engage executive level (C suite) networks, develop a strong local sales engine, improve the existing portfolio, and accurately forecast sales performance and market shifts.
