As a Regional Sales Manager for the Western Region, you will report directly to the Sales Director PWR Grid&Connect NAM. This position is remote and based in Western Canada, preferably located in BC - Vancouver area.

GETTING TO KNOW THE POSITION

One of the strategic orientations that Nexans pursues consists in capturing growth and differentiating its offer by escalading the value chain from the production of cables towards the provision of innovative cable systems and services and solutions to better address the current and future needs of our partners and customers.

The Regional Sales Manager will be responsible for the execution of sales plans and strategies that ensure delivery of maximum annual sales and profitability for Western Canada accounts, while developing long-term customer partnerships and new business opportunities.

HOW YOU MAKE AN IMPACT

Contribute to prepare financial statements, monthly reports, and analyze accounts to close month end accurately and provide relevant information to plant, business unit and corporate management.

Assist in the development and execution of annual business plans for assigned accounts and deliver sales and volume targets

Define and execute account strategies to strengthen customer partnerships and grow business

Maintain critical relationships with existing customers and develop new business opportunities

Create and manage account plans, including financial objectives and pipeline development

Analyze business performance and provide recommendations to drive sales growth and improve margins

Negotiate pricing, manage quotations and prepare commercial proposals adapted to customer needs

Track opportunities won and lost and support responses to calls for tenders

Develop strong relationships with contractors, distributors and key decision makers

Monitor customer needs, market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities

Collaborate with marketing, sales service, engineering and operations to support business execution

Support development of products and specifications aligned with customer requirements

Build and maintain a strong pipeline and anticipate future projects Ensure high level of customer satisfaction and position Nexans as preferred partner

You will be expected to:

Deliver annual sales and volume targets

Improve margins and profitable growth

Strengthen customer relationships and increase share of wallet

Develop contractor relationships supporting new product opportunities

Build strong opportunity pipeline and new business development

Increase Nexans competitiveness and market positioning

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE ROLE ?

KEY COMPETENCIES & REQUIREMENTS

University degree in business, finance/accounting

Bachelor’s degree in Commerce or Engineering

5–8 years sales experience in manufacturing (cable industry an asset)

Strong understanding of sales and marketing processes

Experience managing key accounts and executing sales strategy

Proven negotiation and commercial proposal experience

Strong analytical and business performance evaluation skills

Excellent communication and relationship building skills

Results oriented, self-starter and highly motivated

Technical proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
