Our Testers & Tools multidisciplinary team is a small, agile group leading diverse projects that deliver end-to-end testing solutions. These solutions enable the seamless transition of RealSense's 3D cameras from R&D to high-volume manufacturing. Positioned at the intersection of all R&D activities, our team plays a critical role in delivering high-quality, production-ready cameras to customers worldwide.

We are looking for a Senior System Architect to lead the architectural vision for RealSense tester platforms across hardware, software, electro-optics, and algorithms.

Key Responsibilities

Own the end-to-end architecture of tester platforms, from concept through high-volume production

Lead system-level design reviews and define architecture standards, design patterns, and integration frameworks for scalable, maintainable test systems

Identify cross-domain risks and drive mitigation strategies across hardware, software, and manufacturing

Evaluate and select components and subsystems, balancing performance, reliability, scalability, cost, and production readiness

Develop proof-of-concepts, test scripts, and algorithms to validate tester and product performance

Lead root cause analysis for complex failures spanning testers and camera systems

Define calibration strategy and system-level validation frameworks ensuring depth and vision accuracy

Mentor system integration engineers and raise the technical bar across the team

Partner with Manufacturing, R&D, and Product teams to ensure seamless scale-up from engineering validation to mass production

Qualifications

BSc. or higher in Electrical, Mechanical, Physics, or a related multidisciplinary field

At least 5 years of experience in system engineering, with a strong track record in complex electro-optical systems

At least 2 years of hands-on experience with production testers and/or manufacturing test environments

Demonstrated ability to define system architecture across hardware, software, and algorithm domains (Requirements, Analysis, Risks, System design, etc.)

Proven experience with system-level bring-up, debugging, and cross-domain root cause analysis

Proficiency in Python, MATLAB

Strong team player with excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills with the ability to drive technical decisions across teams

Advantages
