We are seeking individuals who can understand the “current state” of end-to-end business process cycles, effectively engage with various stakeholders, constructively collaborate with cross-functional teams and senior management to facilitate problem-solving and decision-making, contribute to tasks such as project planning and requirements definition, and actively participate in multiple project activities.
Job Responsibilities
Position Details
As a member of the regional and global HRIS teams, you will support the global HR team and group HR teams by formulating and proposing client requirements and delivering appropriate technical and business solutions to achieve overall HR and HRIS goals and objectives. You will understand client needs, evaluate and propose viable Workday solutions, and develop appropriate business and operational strategies to achieve overall HR and HRIS goals.
Responsibilities include leading and guiding operations-based projects and solutions, as well as mentoring less experienced HRIS team members. You will research, analyze, and propose various Workday module-based operational solutions and strategic recommendations. You are responsible for delivering high-quality results while complying with data security, privacy requirements, and general IT controls. Collaboration, initiative, curiosity, and analytical skills are essential traits required to work effectively with cross-functional teams and HR and IT peer groups.
1. Leverage experience in implementation, design, and operations to deliver efficient Workday solutions from an operational perspective.
2. Evaluate currently implemented systems and business process architectures, and collaborate with leadership, functional resources, and technical resources to propose operational improvements, solutions, and strategies.
3. Apply appropriate frameworks and methodologies to develop, enhance, and maintain established service design procedures and processes.
4. Support HRIS staff so that the operations team can deliver efficient and effective solutions.
5. Prepare and deliver presentations and briefings related to business operations.
6. Lead the consistent use of internal tools for ticketing and configuration management.
7. Continuously collaborate with HRIS leaders in each region and globally, focusing on the impact from both short-term and long-term perspectives.
8. Ensure strict compliance with IT general controls and the privacy and security of employee data.
9. Lead or participate in special projects identified by the Global HRIS Leadership Team to support the CHRO.
10. Stay abreast of HR technology trends and propose new systems and technologies to Regional Directors and Global Directors.
Work Environment
Currently, the global team consists of approximately 80 members, while the Japan team has about 40 members. In Japan, there is a large operations team that supports company- and group-level HR, the PMO, and the design of solutions specific to Japan.
Mandatory Qualifications:
・Experience in building or improving operations using HR management or other ERP (enterprise resource planning) software packages
・Japanese: Native level; English: Conversational level
Desired Qualifications:
・Experience with HR systems (Workday, SAP Success Factors, Oracle HCM Cloud, COMPANY, etc.)
・Experience working at a global company
・Ability to communicate smoothly with HR personnel at headquarters and group companies, as well as with technical teams within the HRIS, to drive operations forward
