Warehouse Team Leader

Here at GXO, we are currently recruiting for a Warehouse Team Leader to join us at our Sainsbury’s site in Tamworth. As a Warehouse Team Leader you will, lead, manage, coach, motivate and engage a team of people to co-ordinate activities to achieve business goals through effective people manager, continuous improvement, and a focus on self-development.

This is a full time, permanent position, working an any 5 days from 7, 06:00 till 14:00.

What you’ll do on a typical day:

Lead your team in a fast-paced picking operation

Support with all 1-2-1’s and appraisals

Support the shift manager with engaging with the team and reacting to the varying inbound workloads

Lead the team on health & safety, showing good working practices, as you’ll be responsible for keeping all our operational processes fully compliant whilst keeping your people safe

What you need to succeed at GXO:

Good communication skills

The confidence to challenge the norm and share best practice throughout our team at site

Flexible to support team and shift manager, maybe some extra hours!

Previous experience in a similar role would be advantageous
