Behavior Technician

Company Description Applied ABC provides ABA services and autism therapy across the Northeast, New England, Midwest, and Southern states, focusing on children and young adults ages 0–21. Founded by Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs), the organization is dedicated to helping autistic individuals realize their full potential through home-based behavioral therapy and individualized treatment plans. Applied ABC creates tailored programs based on free assessments of each child’s functioning level, designed to maximize learning and daily living skills. The organization emphasizes family involvement through parent training sessions led by BCBAs, weekly parent and family support groups, and after-school and summer programs that build social and communication skills. Role Description This full-time, on-site Behavior Technician role is based in Queens, NY. The Behavior Technician will implement individualized ABA treatment plans in home and community settings, under the supervision of a BCBA, to support skill development and reduce challenging behaviors. Daily tasks include collecting and recording behavioral data, following behavior intervention protocols, reinforcing positive behaviors, and assisting with activities that build communication, social, and daily living skills. The role involves collaborating closely with supervising clinicians, participating in team meetings, and communicating progress and observations to caregivers in a clear and professional manner. The Behavior Technician will also help maintain a safe, supportive environment and adhere to ethical and clinical standards of ABA practice. Qualifications

Strong foundation in Behavior Analysis and Applied Behavior Analysis, with the ability to follow structured treatment plans.

Skills in Behavioral Intervention and Psychology, supporting the implementation of evidence-based strategies with children and young adults.

Effective Communication skills, including clear documentation, professional interaction with families, and collaboration with clinical teams.

High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework or degree in psychology, education, or related field preferred.

Experience working with autistic individuals or in a pediatric, special education, or behavioral health setting is beneficial.

Ability to work on-site in Queens, NY, follow safety guidelines, and manage physically active sessions with children.

Willingness to complete ABA-specific training, obtain relevant certifications (e.g., RBT), and participate in ongoing professional development.
