Role Objectives:

As the Senior Brand Manager – Canada, you will act as the commercial owner for an assigned portfolio within the Canadian market, accountable for business performance, strategic growth, and portfolio profitability. You will be responsible for translating global brand strategy to Canada, from integrated marketing campaigns to strong retail execution. Operating with a high degree of autonomy, you will influence cross-functional stakeholders, lead key business decisions, and mentor members of the broader marketing team.

Qualifications:

Significant experience in brand management, including prior experience operating at a Senior Brand Manager or equivalent level

University Degree in Marketing, Business, or related field

Proven expertise in brand building, category strategy, and integrated marketing campaign execution

Strong analytical and commercial acumen, with experience leveraging data to drive business performance, pricing, and forecasting

Self-motivated and entrepreneurial, with the ability to operate independently while managing multiple priorities and timelines

Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with experience collaborating across local and global teams

Experience in consumer products or toys is an asset

Responsibilities:

Brand Management

Own brand plans including product line architecture, retailer distribution strategy, and promotional investment to deliver commercial objectives.

Lead the development and execution of integrated marketing campaigns across product launches, spanning media, digital, social, PR, influencer, retail, and experiential.

Manage agency relationships end-to-end: strategic direction, briefing, timelines, and performance. Hold partners accountable to executional standards and ROI.

Monitor market conditions, competitive activity, and consumer trends to continuously refine brand positioning and campaign strategy.

Conduct post-campaign analysis and translate learnings into clear recommendations.

Commercial Ownership

Own the financial performance of your portfolio – pricing, forecasting, budget management – using data to drive decisions.

Lead annual business planning and longer-term growth strategies, grounding recommendations in commercial analysis.

Dig into the numbers regularly: sales trends, market data, and competitive pricing to identify risks and opportunities.

Manage external licensor relationships, ensuring alignment on business performance, planning milestones, and market requirements.

Represent Canadian market needs with global stakeholders, backed by data and a clear point of view.

Cross-Functional Leadership

Partner closely with Sales to build best-in-class retail strategies and support commercial sell-in through strong category storytelling.

Lead planning and execution of key trade moments – Toy Fair, trade shows, and customer meetings.

Lead cross-functional initiatives and keep teams aligned around shared goals, holding yourself and others accountable to strong execution.

Provide hands-on mentorship to broader marketing team and take the lead on joint projects.

Work Hours

8:30am – 5:30pm, Monday to Thursday

8:30am – 3:00pm, Friday

30-minute unpaid lunch break each day.

Plus, reasonable additional hours due to multiple time-zones.

Travel

Travel is required 15% within Ontario and internationally

Salary Band

CAD $ 125,000-135,000

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer, telephone and other office productivity machinery, may need to reach, stoop, kneel to access items

Must be able to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period of time

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision requirements due to computer work

Light to moderate lifting is required

Frequently communicates with other employees and third-parties, must be able to speak clearly and exchange accurate information.

Regular, predictable attendance is required
