Quality Engineer

Key Responsibilities

Perform functional, regression, integration, and UAT testing for Calypso applications.

Validate end-to-end trade lifecycle workflows across Front Office, Risk, and Back Office.

Develop and enhance automated regression tests using CATT (Calypso Automated Testing Tool).

Create and maintain test cases, automation scripts, and regression test packs.

Collaborate with Developers and Business Analysts to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve defects.

Execute SQL-based data validation, reconciliation, and document QA artefacts.

Support continuous improvement of testing processes and CI/CD delivery pipelines.

Required Skills & Experience

5–7 years of experience in Quality Engineering or Test Automation.

Strong hands-on experience with Core Java (Collections, Multithreading, JDBC).

Experience with Calypso and understanding of trade lifecycle, FX, Fixed Income, Derivatives, and Risk.

Knowledge of Calypso APIs, SDKs, or workflows.

Strong SQL skills (Oracle, SQL Server, or similar databases).

Experience with UI & API automation using Java (Playwright preferred).

Familiarity with REST/SOAP APIs, CI/CD pipelines, JIRA/XRAY, Unix/Linux, and MQ/Kafka.

Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

Nice to Have

ITIL knowledge.

Understanding of financial regulations.

Exposure to enterprise trading or capital markets platforms.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, or a related discipline.

Pay: From $130,000.00 per year

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Sydney NSW
