It was the largest insurance deal in Singapore at the time. Singlife was subsequently acquired by Sumitomo Life in March 2024, one of Japan’s leading life insurers, which valued Singlife at S$4.6 billion, making the transaction one of the largest insurance deals in Southeast Asia.
Key Appointments
The Associate, Case Management supports the end-to-end processing of insurance applications and policy servicing requests. The role is responsible for coordinating documentation, tracking case progress, following up on outstanding requirements, and ensuring accurate and timely submissions to insurers.
This role serves as a key support function to Business Development Managers, Wealth Specialists, Senior Case Managers, and insurer partners to deliver a seamless client and adviser experience.
Key Responsibilities
New Business Administration
Support the processing of insurance applications from submission to policy issuance.
Review application forms and supporting documents for completeness and accuracy.
Prepare and submit new business applications.
Track case progress and maintain accurate records within internal systems.
Follow up on outstanding underwriting requirements and documentation.
Case Coordination
Liaise with advisers, insurers, underwriters, medical providers, and clients regarding case requirements.
Coordinate medical examinations and collection of supporting documents.
Monitor case status and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
Escalate complex cases or service issues to the Senior Case Manager.
Policy Servicing Support
Assist with policy alterations, beneficiary changes, premium updates, and other servicing requests.
Prepare required documentation for policy servicing transactions.
Ensure servicing requests are processed within agreed turnaround times.
Documentation & Compliance
Conduct preliminary checks to ensure submissions comply with company and regulatory requirements.
Maintain accurate and organized client records.
Support AML/CFT, KYC, and customer due diligence requirements.
Ensure proper filing and documentation of all case-related records.
Stakeholder Support
Provide administrative support to Business Development Managers and Wealth Specialists.
Respond to enquiries regarding case status and operational processes.
Build positive working relationships with internal stakeholders.
Operational Support
Support operational projects and process improvement initiatives.
Assist in preparing operational reports and case tracking updates.
Contribute to maintaining service standards and operational efficiency.
Key Requirements
Minimum 2-3 years of experience in insurance, broking, or financial services operations, with specific experience in HNW or private banking.
Understanding of insurance underwriting concepts, life insurance products, and policy administration.
Excellent analytical skills, proficiency in MS Office (Excel), and strong client relationship skills.
Highly organized, meticulous, and proactive with the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Experience with complex, high-value policies (e.g., UL, SUL).
