Job Summary:
The Service Sales Representative is responsible for providing technical sales support by evaluating customer project opportunities, developing engineered solutions, and preparing competitive proposals for overhead crane and industrial lifting systems.
Job Responsibilities:
Evaluate new project inquiries to identify technical risk and provide recommended solutions.
Develop technical solutions that establish our company in a favorable position to close new project orders.
Work with Managers, Reps, Owners, and Consulting Engineers as required to develop proposals and working solutions.
Support sales bid opportunities.
Perform technical reviews of RFQ packages.
Develop technical package (unit drawing, equipment selections, data sheets, component catalogs) that supports the sales strategy.
Obtain equipment quotes from vendors.
Perform risk assessment of the project and prepare recommended solutions to discuss with the Sales team.
Assist Project Teams during handoff of new projects.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering is a plus.
Experience in cost estimating is a plus.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required.
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
Must have Industrial Equipment sales experience.
Ability to grasp & relate to technical/mechanical design requirements & specifications of lifting equipment.
Experience in writing technical proposals.
