Duties

Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), fostering independence and self-care skills.

Collect and record data accurately during therapy sessions to monitor progress and inform treatment adjustments.

Support clients in developing communication, social, academic, and functional skills through evidence-based teaching strategies.

Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations by safeguarding client confidentiality and handling medical documentation responsibly.

Collaborate with families and caregivers to reinforce therapeutic goals across various environments, including home settings.

Document all session notes, progress reports, and medical records thoroughly, adhering to ethical standards and professional guidelines such as the Professional and Ethical Compliance Code for Behavior Analysts.

Skills

Strong understanding of applied behavior analysis (ABA) principles and behavior management techniques.

Experience working with individuals with autism spectrum disorders (ASD) or other neurodevelopmental disabilities.

Ability to assist with ADLs and support behavioral health goals effectively.

Proficiency in data collection methods and medical terminology relevant to behavioral health services.

Prior experience working with children in educational or therapeutic settings, especially within special education or home-based programs.

Knowledge of medical records management and medical documentation practices aligned with HIPAA standards.

Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with clients, families, and multidisciplinary teams while maintaining a professional demeanor.
